Drafted by the Steelers 34th overall in the 1971 NFL Draft, Jack Ham went into training camp that summer looking to become a starter at OLB and never looked back. He started all fourteen games as a rookie and never lost his spot in twelve seasons in the Steel City. Blessed with quickness never seen before at the linebacker spot and incredible intelligence, Ham was always around the ball, played pass coverage like defensive backs and became the most reliable defender for the Steelers. Playing behind the “Steel Curtain,” the Penn State alum finished his career with 25 sacks, 32 interceptions and 21 fumble recoveries. He won four Super Bowls, went to eight straight Pro Bowls and was named Defensive Player of the Year in 1975. He was elected into Canton in 1988. Give a nod to one of the greats of Pro Football when you commemorate Jack Ham’s memorable career in Pittsburgh with this Hall of Fame tee. It features arched “Pro Football” lettering over Ham's name and the year he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame with his retired player number at the top right chest.
