Kentucky's 2007 football season had its share of memorable moments, but arguably none was more memorable than a thrilling 40-34 victory over the Louisville Cardinals on September 15, 2007. Facing a Cardinals team that was ranked in the top-10 and had defeated the Wildcats four consecutive years, Kentucky jumped out to an early 13-0 lead. However, Louisville fought back and eventually led 34-33 with under two minutes remaining before Kentucky took the lead for good in the game's final 30 seconds, and gave Kentucky fans their first win over a top-10 opponent in 30 years. The win propelled Kentucky to a national ranking for the first time since 1998.
